ERMeCC researchers at Eurosonic Noorderslag festival

Erik Hitters, Martijn Mulder, Rick Everts (Media and Communication), Pauwke Berkers and Alina Pavlova (Arts and Culture Studies) will present their research at music industry conference Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen on Saturday 20 January, together with partners the Popcoalitie, POPnl, MOJO concerts, and VNPF.

Their research will feature in two panels.

In the session Taking Research Seriously: Onderzoek naar Popmuziek, Pauwke Berkers and Alina Pavlova present a beta version of their pop music research platform as part of the KIEM project Where Music Meets Research. Erik Hitters will present on the POPLIVE project – Staging Popular Music: Researching Sustainable Live Music Ecologies for Artists, Music Venues and Cities – in the same session.

In the session Dutch Women in Music: van Popronde tot Ziggo Dome, Pauwke Berkers will present preview on a study Gendergelijkheid onder muziekmakers in Nederland, done by RMA student Eefje Smeulders in cooperation with Buma/Stemra.
